THIS IS FOR ONE (1) SALT PIG - MADE TO ORDER
Approximate Measurements: 4.5" wide, 5" high
This salt crock was hand thrown with dark red stoneware clay and hand designed with a special slip-trailing technique. It is glazed in our Signature Aqua Mist*. The texture beautifully breaks through the glaze to reveal the design.
As with all handmade pottery...every piece has its own unique handmade character and may have slightly different sizes, shapes and color variations. We never use molds and make each, one at a time. We always use lead free glaze & high fire in the kiln. All our dishes are food, dishwasher and microwave safe but hand washing is always recommended. Each piece is signed Back Bay Pottery and initials.
*The Signature Aqua Mist color is a special glaze and clay combination that took years to perfect. It is created using a dark Hawaiian Red clay and the glaze "breaks" over the high points so you can see the clay underneath.
