This salt pig was hand thrown with smooth stoneware clay and hand designed with a special slip-trailing technique. It is glazed in the color of your choice. The texture beautifully breaks through the glaze to reveal the design.
As with all handmade pottery...every piece has its own unique handmade character and may have slightly different sizes, shapes and color variations. We never use molds and make each, one at a time. We always use lead free glaze & high fire in the kiln. All our dishes are food, dishwasher and microwave safe but hand washing is always recommended. Each piece is signed Back Bay Pottery and initials.
