These little bowls are hand formed from smooth stoneware clay & gazed in the color of your choice. They are sure to compliment any decor. The rim is hand textured in my dot design with a special slip trailing technique. The glaze gently breaks away to reveal the design.
As with all handmade pottery...every piece has its own unique handmade character and may have slightly different sizes, shapes and color variations. I never use molds and make each, one at a time. I always use lead free glaze & high fire in my kiln. All my dishes are food, dishwasher and microwave safe but hand washing is always recommended. Each piece is signed Back Bay Pottery and my initials.
The bottom is unglazed. They may scratch a high gloss or delicate surface, therefore it is recommended to use them with placemats or a tablecloth.

A must have kitchen tool! Use to make salad dressing! Strip herbs and grate garlic. Can also grate ginger root, hard cheese, chocolate, nutmeg, bread crumbs, lemon zest and more... add some olive oil to make a dipping sauce or marinade.
Simple and easy to use! Just place the food item of your choice in the bowl and rub it against the textured surface. It will never dull and is dishwasher safe! It has 5 sizes of herb leaf holes for stripping herbs.
